Job Description:
A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist IV to lead
the prior authorization request process and provide expert guidance
to the utilization management team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and assess member insurance coverage for timely
authorization and payment
Review and document authorization requests in accordance with
policies and procedures
Act as a subject matter expert and trainer for team members on the
authorization process
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
4+ years of related experience in authorization or utilization
management
Expert knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
Ability to work in the Pacific Standard Time zone
Experience with tracking and documenting authorizations and
referrals
