Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Prepared Foods Cook to join our team at Whole Foods Market in Boynton Beach. As a key member of our prepared foods team, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a wide variety of food items, including cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars.Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to production sheets and recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Food Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, address needs of customers in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 6-12 months retail experience preferred.
  • Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques, good basic math skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Working Conditions
    • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a wet and dry environment.
    • Environmental Factors: Exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
