This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience, good judgment, and skills to strategically litigate contested estate-related legal matters in both probate and civil court. 5+ years of litigation experience is preferred. Candidate--should possess a solid foundation of legal research, writing, and practical court experience.

Responsibilities:

--- Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
--- Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
--- Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
--- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff


Qualifications:

--- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
--- Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys
--- Successful completion of the bar exam
