Culinary Excellence at Pier Sixty-Six ResortWe are seeking a seasoned Cook I to be an integral member of our culinary team at Pier Sixty-Six Resort. As a key contributor to our high-volume kitchen, you will work closely with our Sous Chef to deliver distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests.The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary arts, a service-oriented attitude, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include:

  • Team Collaboration: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team to achieve common goals.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare special meals, assist with stocking and setting up each station, and help train new staff members in preparation methods.
  • Leadership: Serve as a role model for other cooks, demonstrate company standards of excellence, and execute job responsibilities with professionalism.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain food logs, monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food, and regulate oven temperatures.
  • Communication: Communicate assistance needs during busy periods, inform the Chef of excess food items, and ensure the quality of prepared food.Additional Duties: Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, assist with hiring and training, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.Pier Sixty-Six Resort, part of CoralTree Hospitality, is a unique and authentic culinary experience.
