TAX SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Seeking a Senior Accountant for a Tax Department. This is a full-time position that pays up to $75K with opportunities for advancement. This Senior Tax Accountant applies their technical knowledge and ability to supervise an increasing number of engagement in preparing for continuing advancement in the Firm.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

? 2 + years prior public accounting experience

? Knowledge in preparing business and individual income tax returns as well as other local federal tax returns.

? Understands and can apply accounting theory, taxation situations and regulations.

? Confirms to the current AICPA and FASB rules and regulations

? Can appropriately handle challenging tax and accounting situations. Can easily spot and identify significant tax and accounting issues in clients? operations.

? Assists with client communications, Internal Revenue Service representatives, and others with special assignments.

? Proficiency in preparing tax returns for individual, trust, partnership and corporate.

? Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

? Preferred knowledge using Prosystems fx tax software.

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or related field; Master?s degree a plus.

? Current CPA license or someone who is ready to sit for their CPA exam.

? Availability to work heavy overtime during season
